A Month Later

Nearly a month later I have some new pictures to share from the yard. The usual suspects are blooming again, including the Indian Mallow and Turks Cap in the next two shots.

The next two pictures here are of my jujube tree. For the first time it's put out fruit that's actually pretty edible. I had nine that I picked in total, a few mushy ones, and a few that look like something got to them before I did, but the first nice looking one I cut up and ate was very sweet to the taste, although a little on the mealy side. These are shots of the fruit ripening.

New Colors

I planted a six pack of annual gazanias, nice color for the money (two bucks). The last few pictures are of my cardinal vine blooming in our mesquite tree. Next year I'll plant more of these vines to add even more color in this otherwise boring canopy.
